LPFA lands Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue pension contract
London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) has signed a contract withBedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to provide full pension administration and payroll services to approximately 1,000 serving and retired fire fighters.
The four-year contract was awarded to LPFA because of its expertise in the delivery of fire fighter pension schemes, with experience administering the pensions of fire fighters for nearly 15 years.
Susan Martin, chief executive at LPFA, said: “Having looked after the pensions of over 15,000 fire fighters for almost a decade and a half, the LPFA is uniquely positioned to manage the fire brigade and other public pension schemes.
“Through the delivery of unique new services alongside established expert administrative functions, we will be able to effectively support Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service as they continue to provide society with an essential, lifesaving service.”
As part of the arrangement, the LPFA will provide Bedfordshire Fire &Rescue Service with full pension administration and payroll services of both new and old firefighter pension schemes, secure employer and member portals, workflow management, and communications services.
